Children at this preschool are encouraged to use the outdoor area equally with the inside area. There is no such thing as inappropriate weather, only inappropriate clothing! Above: "Workmen" and "Wet Weather Explorers".
Main Indoor Area Children are encouraged to self select the items they need to construct their plans.
Our Sensory wall was part of a project using the children's handprints. Children find it hard to resist touching the wall. the out door environment

the water course, our own creek! We visit The Bentleigh Nursing Home every week.

we have five chickens; two above are Jen and Fluffy and Hazel, Henry and Honey!
Gordon the axolotl. ...and Maisy and Daisy, our pet rats
..and Kai our Bearded dragon We use the surrounding park as much as possible.
We have a vegetable garden.
We have Fergus, Glen of Imaal puppy (puppet) ....and Chloe Cat (puppet) who is a Ragdoll Cat
Both these puppets are allowed to have overnight stays at children's homes. The children write/draw/photograph their experiences with Fergus and Chloe. The Rats are also allowed to be borrowed for children to share with their families.
